SELF CATERING COTTAGES IN SPAIN IN A SPECIAL PLACE
Our cottages in Spain and our olive farm location won "Best Place To Stay in Europe" in "The Times Travel Green Spaces Awards 2008" We are situated in the foot hills of the Sierra Nevada mountains, an area known as Las Alpujarras. Our cottages in Spain are in an idyllic place described by The Times as "in an epic setting". A taste of rural Andalucia unspoilt by time. The only sounds you will hear are from the abundant nature surrounding us, the river constantly flowing past, frogs, birdsong, tinkling goatbells. There are ibex, wild boars, exotic birds like the bee eaters that nest in the rocks above us, golden orioles with their flutey warble.
Our cottages for self catering are either a stone casita with cane and beamed ceilings, or a completely independent apartment the front of the old cortijo. both of our cottages in Spain have their own terraces with fabulous views and accommodate two in spacious comfort. You can laze away your days by the wonderful pool or walk beside the river, you may see kingfishers, herons and even eagles.
We need no main services here, our water is supplied by a mountain spring. Lighting is by solar power, which also runs the bedroom fans to keep you comfortable in the hot summer months. We practise and encourage recycling and composting. We are organic and use no chemicals on our land, and are constantly striving to improve our "green" lifestyle.
Your comfort is our priority, we have fluffy towels, and fresh linen, comfortable outside furniture on the terraces from which to gaze at the millions of stars in the clear night sky. Swim in the huge pool with views of the mountains, there are sunbeds to enjoy the peace surrounding you, and the Spanish sun.
